This week was really great!! First off Bishop's family took me out to dinner, and gave me this ADORABLE and made leather bag! It was one that I said that I loved a few months ago, and they remembered. They are just the best! I love my Paraguayan family that I have here!

Tuesday my companion was really sneaky and planned with the other sisters to surprise me. They decorated the house with lots of balloons and they came in and woke me up at 6:30 and threw balloons and confetti in my face while they sang happy birthday. Then they also made me a lemon pie and sang for me. I just live with the best sisters ever!
Best Companion in World!!! |
I also have the best companion in the whole wide world!!! Also a lot of members remembered it was my birthday and prepared lots of treats for me in the night. Love them. Wednesday we had a zone conference with President, and they all sang happy birthday to me. I also got a package from Grandma Blake! Yay! We also had divisions that day with the sister leader trainers, so I got to go back with President and hear of his stories. Then Saturday we got to go to the office, and there I got 2 more packages from my mom!!!! She is just the best in the whole wide world, and spoiled me!!!! Lets just say I got to celebrate my birthday all week!
Well I have been studying in the bible lately and came across some pretty good stuff. I was first reading in 2 Kings 5:9-13, about the story of Naaman. He was a leper, and wanted to be healed. He heard about a prophet who could heal him. He received direction from one of the Prophets servants to go wash himself in the river Jordan 7 times. The river was not the cleanest, and the king did not understand why he must go to that specific river. He even asked in verse 12 if there were cleaner rivers. But he had to have faith, and as result he was healed. I like to think of this story as with my mission. All missionaries receive a mission call, revelation directly from Heavenly Father to His Prophet. We do not hear the words from the Prophet, but in a letter. We then get sent to places all over the world, which might not be the "cleanest", but we too must show our faith and accept the revelation given to the prophets. With this we too can be healed, or made whole. Being on a mission has strengthened my testimony greatly.
Also I like to think of the story of the Rich man in the Bible. Jesus told him that he had to leave everything he had, and follow Him. (Lucas 18: 18-23) I am grateful for this opportunity that I had to leave my family and studies behind to follow my Lord. I can see all the blessings in my life, and feel a happiness everyday. I know that this is the Lords work, and I am proud to call myself His disciple. I know He lives, and He will return again. I love this Gospel. Love,
Hermana Sanders
