Week 3!!!

SO... last week when we went to the temple.. It was awesome!!!! I did better with the Spanish! And.... I MET OUR MISSION PRESIDENT FROM PARAGUAY!!!! And his wife!!! They are sooo cool!!! They gave us this awesome pep talk, and let’s just say I am so pumped to go to Paraguay and start preaching to the people! They are so nice! I can’t wait!!
So on Friday we did an English fast (where we can’t speak English the whole day) and it was hard. But i lived.. We did an English fast because we went proselyting on Saturday!!!! we totally went out into the city, it was my first time seeing the real Argentina! The mtc here is like a bubble! Everything looks so different, like the buildings are unfinished and all crowded. We got dropped off in the middle of some random city, with no direction. we all had to split up and cover our areas. i was scared to death at first.. but after a while i LOVED it! most of the time I couldn’t understand what people were saying, and half of the people were not interested. but we did have success. i will just tell you about my favorite story! We met this man named Claudio. We taught him for over an hour. At first, he just wanted to know about us, America, and what we liked about Argentina. We told him we loved the alfores (COOKIES), and the dulce de leche. Then he started asking about the BOM. Half way through the lesson one of his employees brought us a huge bag of cookies! But that wasn’t the best part! We taught him the restoration and committed him to read the BOM and pray about it. The spirit was so strong! He shared some awesome experiences with us, and I was totally crying. He told us that he knows that Heavenly Father loves him, and that he loves us, because he sent us to him. He said he felt so warm inside, he described it as a beautiful feeling. IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I wish I could tell  you all the details. I absolutely love sharing the Gospel, it is the best feeling. Oh, but let me tell you a bad part about  the day... some dude around 20 yrs. old came up behind me while i was talking to some lady and touched my butt... seriously!!! I was about to punch his smile right off his face.  But other than that, it was such a good day!
 Throughout the week we are able to attend devotionals! It is the best!!! I love the spirit that i feel here, I am so happy! I get to learn so much every day, and I am so grateful! I wish you guys cool come and feel the same way. Spanish is getting better! I can now have conversations with people, sort of... I know that the Lord is definitely helping me! Guys I love you sooo much! Have a great week!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

guys... they have a queso truck here. it goes around and has a little song singing about queso... weird? well this past week has been amazing!! there is so much to write about, so I hope I remember it all. so we get to teach investigators every day, and I absolutely love it. it is so amazing how the spirit will tell you what to say. my companion and I would plan out a lesson for our investigators, and once we were teaching them the Spirit told us to teach something else. I have also shared a few experiences that just popped into my mind. the spirit was so strong each time I would share an experience. even though it is hard to understand our investigators due to the lack of my Spanish, I know that the spirit is the same. I feel the Saviors love for these people each time I teach. the CCM (MTC) is the best experience, and I love every day! It has been so amazing to see how the Lord has blessed me with the gift of tongues. It is small progress, but progress none the less. I will be in lessons and I will be able to understand most of the conversation, and be able to respond in my Spanglish, but they will understand. my companion is so awesome and helps me with Spanish everyday. I don't know what I would do without her. we were also able to attend the temple Tuesday. that was kind of a surprise. we were in the middle of class when a teacher ran in and told us to get ready for the temple. the temple has been closed since we got here, so it was a treat. we all ran to get our temple stuff. my companion lost her recommend

My Companion Sister Bennett
 hermana minks from hawaii, hermana meese from california and utah, hermano tauiliili from utah he is super good at volleyball, and hermano aequiento from california and he is super funny, and hermano haworth and merill

(guys I can not spell anymore, I mix Spanish and English all the time) so the temple workers just let her in. the temple here is so beautiful! it is even more beautiful inside! there are sky windows all over, and the art work is amazing. I love the temple here. we got our rented clothes and guess what? mine was too short, and my slip was huge! so I looked pretty awesome if I say so myself. the session was so good. and no dad, I got an English headset so I could understand. maybe next time I will listen in Spanish. I absolutely love this gospel! the Celestial (guys did spell that right?) room was so colorful and beautiful. it reminded me of the one at timp, but less white. I decided to pray, and that was the longest and most sincere prayer I have even given. I felt the Spirit so strong, and I felt as though there were arms surrounding me in a hug. it was a great day. oh let me back up, on Sunday we were able to take pictures at the temple! it was so much fun! we took so many pictures, and I love everyone here! we took lots of district pictures because they are my little family! I don't know what I would do without them. we have so many inside jokes, it is the best. if I can figure the computers out I will send some pictures. after we took our pictures we found a bird in the kitchen. that was an adventure... but we rescued him. oh guess what else happened?! I walk into sacrament meeting and guess who was sitting in the room? ALI VINCENT (SUNSHINE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah...

Ali Vincent {SUNSHINE}
I PLAYED VOLLEYBALL WITH ALI IN HIGH SCHOOL
 I was so excited! she told me that her back had been hurting so she went to the doctor. they x-rayed her back and said it was broken (k.. if it was broken she wouldn't be walking) so they had a plane ticket for her to come home. her uncle which happens to be in the Argentina mission training center presidency picked her up. they took her to the doctor just to double check and her back wasn't broken. they were trying to get the rich American to pay for surgery. so she got to spend the morning at the MTC. I am so glad she is okay and is able to finish her mission. I
I loved hearing her testimony. oh... my toe got infected. I don't know from what, but all my room mates played doctor. the next day I was able to get a blessing from my district leader. it was so strong, and I am so grateful for the priesthood. I think it is getting better. funny story, there was one night where there was a huge thunder storm. they aren't like the ones in Utah. they are sooooo loud and bright. so the Latina sisters were up at 1 in the morning. they said that I was sleep talking... and sleep laughing... the best part is my companion was talking back to me!!!! they were all laughing so hard and wouldn't let us forget that we talk to each other in our sleep. my room mates call the me mermaid... I don't know why. but it is a compliment I guess, right? I love them so much, and the sad thing is they left today! they are so cute, and I am going to miss them. anyways I hope I remembered the important things. I am loving it here! everything is just so great! and I love you all! you are all in my prayers, and thank you for all the support! I cant wait to hear from you!!!

{October 17, 2013}
Hello,
So excuse my spelling and the lack of grammar. the keyboards are weird and I am trying to write as fast as I can. so we traveled with 2 elders and 4 sisters. they are awesome. I also got to see Jared at the airport, he came and said goodbye at the gate, and of course I started crying, but I was so happy. the flight was short, and good. once we got to Georgia we ate and tried to find a pay phone. I guess I don't know how to use one, because it took us forever to figure it out. as we were waiting for our flight to Argentina we saw so many missionaries. it was like a whole army!!!!! soooo cool!!!! the flight to Argentina was awful! super long and I was so tired. but we finally made it! once we got through customs and all that stuff, we waited and waited and waited for someone to pick us up. we ended up waiting for 2 hours, so I guess they forgot about us. some member called the mtc and arranged for someone to pick us up. the mtc is super close, and it is beautiful. the mtc is actually on the temple grounds!!! there are lots of palm trees, and it is so warm. I love it. so my companion is named Hermana Bennett. She is the most amazing person. she is so loving and sweet. she has humbled me to be her companion. she is constantly reminding me to pray and to study. everyone else here has taken Spanish and can speak okay. I feel like I am the only one who doesn't know Spanish. but I am slowly learning. it is really hard though. it is so cool being in the mtc. I absolutely love it here. we are constantly feeling the spirit all day, and I have been so happy. all of our lessons are sooo great, and I learn so much every day! I enjoy everyday here. it has helped me not be so sad and miss everyone because I am feeling the spirit and serving others. I don't have a lot of time to think about myself. well the food is interesting. I have never eaten so much meat in my whole entire life. we eat it for every single meal. we also have rice and beans. the milk is weird, its in a box, and it isn't ever cold. but the chocolate and desserts are way yummy. I think I am going to gain weight here... not good. my room mates are all latias. they are so sweet and loving. they are trying to learn English so we help each other everyday. they are always making me laugh. speaking of laughing my district is by far the best. its amazing how perfect each companionship is. we have Hermana minks from Hawaii, Hermana Meese from California and Utah, Hermano Tauiliili from Utah he is super good at volleyball, and Hermano Aequiento from California and he is super funny, and Hermano Haworth and Merrill they are the nerdy guys that make us laugh. pretty much we laugh all the time which makes it enjoyable, but we learn so much from each other and have spiritual experiences. oh yes.. my suitcase was locked and I couldn't get into it all day. but the tips you gave me worked. at the end of the day we got a flashlight and we found out the combo. it was 463... really random mom! haha oh for p days guess what? we play VOLLEYBALL!!!! I love it! oh one of our instructors... he had a hickie... it was distracting... haha. but they are all really good teachers, so kind! it is so awesome here! how was Jessica's farewell? I bet she did amazing. well I don{t have a lot of time left. I love you all! have a good week!
